Christ and Iris Dressler as part of "scene: schweiz in nrw", the 37th International Culture Days of Dortmund with Switzerland. From 24 May to 13 July the Museum am Ostwall in Dortmund presents On Translation: Das Museum, a solo exhibition of the artist Antoni Muntadas, who was born in 1942 in Barcelona and has lived in New York since 1971.

Say Hello to Peace and Tranquillity

The exhibition "Say Hello to Peace and Tranquility" introduces video installations that are involved with the structure of language and/or reconstructed spaces. They examine the mechanisms of physical and especially the psychological inclusion and exclusion patterns that are anchored in language as well as in architecture. The main focus of the exhibition is the significance of space and language in our private, intimate life as an assumed guarantee of tranquility, order and harmony. The exhibition's title refers to the work by Dagmar Keller / Martin Wittwer.

Control Panels. Programming as artistic practice

Software artists develop computer programs that exceed the boundaries and possibilities of conventional software or reduce their functions to absurdity. The focus is not on the perfect and optimal function of the programs, but rather on the programs' "dis.functionality" and momentum, which is presented as a playful experience.
